National Conference on AI 2030 – Transforming Business, Society and The Future (NCAI – 2027)
Organized by Management Development Institute Murshidabad
5th and 6th March 2027 in online mode
Conference Background
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has evolved from a specialized technological capability into a transformative force reshaping the way businesses operate, societies function, and individuals interact with technology. The rapid emergence of Generative AI, large language models, autonomous systems, intelligent analytics, and AI-enabled decision-making are fundamentally changing organizational processes, business models, employment patterns, customer experiences, and public services. As India advances toward a digitally driven and innovation-oriented economy, the strategic importance of AI is becoming increasingly significant across industries and sectors.
The National Conference on AI 2030 – Transforming Business, Society and the Future is envisioned as a multidisciplinary platform to examine how AI may shape the next decade of economic, organizational, technological, and social development. The conference will bring together academicians, researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, technology professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and practitioners to exchange research insights, practical experiences, emerging perspectives, and innovative ideas related to AI.
The year 2030 provides a meaningful horizon for examining the transition from today’s AI experimentation and adoption toward more deeply integrated AI-enabled organizations and societies. The conference will explore not only the technological advancement of AI but also the managerial, economic, ethical, social, regulatory, and human dimensions of its adoption. Attention will be given to the question of how organizations can create value from AI while addressing issues of responsible innovation, trust, transparency, privacy, cybersecurity, workforce transformation, and inclusive development.
The conference will encourage discussion around AI-driven business transformation, including intelligent decision-making, predictive analytics, Generative AI, marketing, finance, human resource management, operations, supply chains, entrepreneurship, innovation, and new business models. At the societal level, discussions may encompass AI in education, healthcare, governance, agriculture, financial inclusion, sustainability, smart cities, employment, and social development.
An important focus of the conference will be the emergence of Responsible and Human-Centric AI. As AI systems become increasingly embedded in organizational and societal decision-making, questions concerning fairness, accountability, explainability, data governance, human oversight, and ethical use become central to sustainable AI adoption. The conference therefore seeks to move beyond the question of “What can AI do?” toward the broader questions of “What should AI do?”, “How should AI be governed?”, and “How can AI create sustainable value for business and society?”
The conference will provide an interdisciplinary forum for presenting research papers, conceptual studies, empirical investigations, industry cases, technological innovations, policy perspectives, and practitioner insights. It aims to stimulate collaboration between academia and industry and encourage research that connects technological possibilities with real-world organizational and societal challenges.
Ultimately, AI 2030 represents an opportunity to imagine and critically examine the future that AI may help to create. The conference seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of AI as not merely a technological innovation, but as a strategic, economic, organizational and societal transformation that will influence the future of business and human development.
