MDI Murshidabad completed 3 days Management Development Program on “Leadership competencies to enhance overall managerial effectiveness” for Executives of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).

Management Development Institute Murshidabad, organized a 3-Days Management Development Program between 14th to 16th May 2026 for executives of DVC on “Leadership competencies to enhance overall managerial effectiveness”. There were 20 participants and all were senior professionals of DVC. Program directors Dr. Biranchi Swar and Dr. Sunil Giri conceptualized this value-added, cutting-edge MDP.

The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Biranchi Swar, Dean–Continuing Education and Program Director, Dr. Amrita Sengupta, Chairperson–Continuing Education, Dr. Sunil Giri -Programme Director and Dr. Arunava Narayan Mukherjee, Chief Administrative Officer.

The Management Development Program (MDP) focused on leadership competencies to enhance overall managerial effectiveness through emotional intelligence, negotiation, understanding customer perceptions and expectation, providing service quality, using positioning maps to explore various competitive strategies, CRM, and digital marketing for service excellence. This program also highlights the importance team building, quality in operations, conflict management, and the role communication to enhance overall managerial effectiveness.

Participants gained insights into various leadership skills through case studies, storytelling, practical exercises, and role play etc during these three days program. As a part of the cultural immersion, the program arranged a short visit for the participants to few historical places of Murshidabad.
