Free Online Workshop On Teaching-Learning Process of Case Studies in Online Environment

MDI Murshidabad Case Research Centre(MDIMCRC) in association with All India Management Association(AIMA) promoted India Case Research Centre (AIMA-ICRC), conducted a workshop on “Teaching Learning Process of Case Studies in Online Environment” on 12th June, 2020.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Atmanand, Director, MDI Murshidabad and Dr.Raj Agarwal, Director, Centre of Management Education, AIMA. In his inaugural speech Prof.(Dr.) Atmanand listed out various new initiatives taken by MDI Murshidabad. He had set the tone of the workshop by emphasizing on evolving a new strategy to teach case studies in the context of online class environment. Dr.Raj Agarwal spoke about various initiatives taken by AIMA on case based teaching in Indian business schools. Dr.Souvik Banerjee, Chairperson MDIMCRC, proposed the vote of thanks and informed the participants on various initiatives taken by MDIMCRC like an edited book of business cases which is under process.

The resource persons of the workshop were Dr.Upinder Dhar, Vice Chancellor, Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya, Indore; Dr.Anuja Pandey, Associate Professor, AIMA and Head AIMA-ICRC; and Dr.Sheetal Jain, Case Author, ICRC.

Dr.Bikramjit Pal, member MDIMCRC in his concluding remarks hoped that there will be many more such joint initiatives of MDIM and AIMA in the days to come.

The workshop received overwhelming response with participants joining from all over the country. The resource persons deliberated on how to teach case studies in an online class environment. This topic is especially pertinent in post covid-19 world. The deliberations by the resource persons were well appreciated by participants.
