Shri Suresh N. Patel is a seasoned banking professional and governance expert with over four decades of experience in the Indian banking and financial ecosystem. He began his career at Allahabad Bank and served extensively at Dena Bank, progressing from Junior Officer to General Manager across various leadership roles, including SLBC Convenor for Gujarat and Director on the Board of Dena Gujarat Gramin Bank.

He later served as Executive Director at Oriental Bank of Commerce and as MD & CEO of Andhra Bank,. He was Director on the boards of Canara, HSBC, OBC, Life Insurance Company Ltd. and India First Life Insurance Co. Ltd.

Post retirement, Shri Patel held several key positions including:

• Central Vigilance Commissioner of India (2021–2022) and Vigilance Commissioner (2020–2021).
• Chairman, Advisory Board for Banking and Financial Frauds (ABBFF) – Appointed by the CVC.
• Independent Director on the boards of NaBFID, Montecarlo Ltd., KIMS Hospitals, and others.
• Advisor to financial institutions and member of RBI’s BPSS Board.

Shri Patel holds degrees in B.Sc. (Agri), LL.B., and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).
