
Prof. M. S. Sriram
Profile
Professor M S Sriram is a distinguished academic and policy expert, currently serving as a Professor at the Centre for Public Policy, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He was previously the ICICI Bank Lalita D Gupte Chair Professor in Microfinance at IIM Ahmedabad and has held academic positions at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA).
In the policy domain, Prof. Sriram has made significant contributions as Chair of the Expert Committee on the Kerala Co-operative Bank and as a member of several key committees of the Reserve Bank of India, including the Financial Inclusion Advisory Committee, the External Advisory Committee for licensing Small Finance Banks, and the Expert Committee on Primary (Urban) Co-operative Banks. He was also associated with the Vaidyanathan Committee on co-operative reforms.
He currently serves on the boards of several organizations including AU Small Finance Bank, Indian Dairy Machinery Company, SELCO Solar Light Pvt. Ltd. and Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad. Additionally, he is a Trustee of MS Swaminathan Research Foundation, Pratham Books, Sanket Trust (which runs Ranga Shankara, Bengaluru), and Dastkar Andhra.
Prof. Sriram holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from IRMA and is a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
